EB3 I is still very unfortunate... I guess this is how the melting pot works... correct me if I am wrong.

Out of 9800 - First EB1 then left over EB2 and Then leftover to EB3 :(

In Dec 2007 my dad got admitted to the hospital for 17 days due to DVT (Deep Venous Thrombosis). Total bill from the hospital was $48,000.00. IMG paid most part of it and I paid approximately $2000.00 as patient resposibility.

You are right in the sense of returns but I am also looking at investing ,not 50 lakhs but small amts. The rturns may not be good but the main reason I think people invest is because of the surity that the land price appreciates more than 50% and be sure your principal is safe compared to stocks or other.

That is approx. 60 thousand per month. If you buy an apartment and rent it, it gives you 15 thousand. Don't you see the problem? The return on investment is low, very low. The fact that it is renting only for 15 thousand tells us that it is not affordable for most of the average guys in the city. The theory that there are more demand to snap up 70 lakh, 1 crore apartments is simply not true.

If it works the way it says, the EB-2 quota stay at EB-2 for oversubscribed country, then why there's no movement for EB-2 China? Something is not right.

First step - Write to WWJ Radio and let them know your concerns about the airtime provided to such nativist views which will result in attacks against foreigners.
Second, let's all call up/attend his show and dispute his views with facts, such as Presidents Economical report, DoL statistics on Full-Employment Economy. Lets corner him on issues such as collapse of the Social Security system if number of Tax payers decreases, and how does he intend to stop it without increasing Immigration as American fertility levels are currently below replacement levels. We can ask him if he proposes the Government should increase taxes instead which will place him on a sticky wicket.

If Gandhi can sucessfully take on the mighty British Empire "where the Sun never sets" with just a loin cloth and a staff, We are better equipped with Megaphones and Placards! I dunno about which bank is the best but I guarantee this ICICI does sucks! they act like as if they are ruling NRI. and of course like anyone else we had a very bad experience talking with their home loan dept too. Honestly - If I may say something about this....I can say this with 100% confidence that sooner or later we all will witness their demise. count on it.
The point is that they cannot JUST do this to us(NRI) or I can say it is we who made their success if they are really. but by the sheer power of community like this - we can definitely teach them a good lesson by just quit banking with ICICI. guess what you will be proud of what you did in the very near future. SBI still IS doing reasonably well and you still can get better rates though.

How many IT jobs are there in Canada (assuming most of the members in IV are into IT)? Canada Alberta program increased processing times to 8 months now and it excludes federal processing times. Federal application method takes more than one and half years.
So its good that you have chosen an alternative and worked out well, but your alternative many not be an alternative or not even option to all!!!

This is a great point. Even if we get one time relief,that should suffice because retro might not happen in the future as there will not be 245si/195kH1bs. I hope one of the core group members might want to look at this. This will atleast counteract the exaggerated and bloated immigration numbers by the antiimmigrant groups.
What you are not counting is the people who change jobs. Initial H1 allocation to wipro or TCS or satyam doesnt mean anything. More than 50% of those change jobs later on
