If you have issues watching it, try the below
Tools > Preferences > Connection > Network Transports
Check Manually Configure connection settings
Click on RTSP Settings, uncheck everything except "Attempt to use HTTP"
Do the similar for PNA Settings.

Hi Friends,
I checked my status and havent received any Soft LUD, but I received a FP notice couple of days back. I am not sure what this is for..My PD is Dec 2006 (EB3) and I received EAD/AP/I140 approved. I applied concurrently during the july fiasco and already done with FP on 2007 itself.
Now i am surprised why I need to , go for FP again. I am still in H1 and my EAD is expired and havent renewed.
Can anyone shed some light in to this FP notice ???

How can we figure out the net assets from a 1120S tax return? I have the copy of company tax return with me and I am "accounting challenged". Can some one please help me figure out the net assets, so that I can answer my ability to pay RFE.

EAD & AP is luxury & aggressive. Keeping H1B active is being conservative and playing with probability and backup. It depends on your nature. Go for it!!
If you are planning on a big investment like buying a home or something like that. It is better to stay on H1B so you have a backup if something goes wrong with GC.
I have seen problems with cases using AC21 when they apply it asking for more details and also sometimes ur I-140 is revoked by your sponsoring employer and USCIS may trigger a NOID for you. Ofcoourse you can file MTR and prove that them that it is legitimate to change jobs using AC21, but if you have H1B also then you have a piece of mind.
Also for the first job change use AC21 and do H1B transfer also and see for 6 months so that USCIS is already aware that you ve changed company. You can address any RFE/NOID. But later on you are on ur own.

Guys it is really upto you to decide how much you are willing to contribute towards something which will change your future. I'm on 7th year H1B extension I pay $200 for my dependents visas. I am going to my home country and I'm paying close to $600 for Visa stamping, plus pain for doing all the paper work, and pain of taking a visa interview after living 7 years here. We don't get anything done then this visa will expire in 6 months, so another $200 for visa, another $600 for stamping, another form & another filing and above all another sleepless night. This is endless, we need to support this effort, please contribute generously.

I think this is great idea EB3_NEPA. We need to work on this!!! A good interim solution. That way we can actually show the contribution that we can make to the society as a family. Does anyone have an idea where we can start?
How about sending letters to our representatives and then contacting the media on the plight of our spouses rather than on us!!! May be the human rights folks can help us on this.

Yes status has been changed to : Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent.
There is no information about RFE.
Also SOFT LUD on April 6 after RFE update on April 3. I wonder why they would update my cases twice in 3 days.

I have now read it at so many places, if I didn't know anything about H1-B visas, I would probably have believed it by now. So we really should make a point to mention that we pay taxes and social security.

Perhaps, we need to tell the press this, although I haven't seen an article in a respected newspaper that makes such a claim (I could be wrong, and there may be such reports). You do NOT have to go anywhere - what you are saying is "SBI Rapid Remittance" by SBI where the money will reach your Foreign account the very next day ( But you might have to wire the money as well to BOA-NY or SBI-NY ?)

Well per=country limit is part of the iNS law. So its legal.
From an immigration perspective, green card is a privelege extended to "aliens" and it is the prerogative of the law to ensure a formula thats best for the country.
INS family based immigration law was the one that conjured up the per-country limit to prevent folks from one country from flooding in. Unfortunately, this formula made its way into EB immigration and we are stuck with the consequences today.
So if anything, we should bring up the fallacies in per-country limit as far as skill-based immigration is concerned and get the law changed.
A lawsuit isnt the answer to everything. The chinese EB folks learnt that after spending thousands of dollars and few years on their lawsuit, the judgement they got back was that 'the law is being followed'.
And the comment below about the constitution forbiding anything, with respect to immigration law, is pure nonsense.

Do what you got to do and let others do what they think is right. I don't think there is one Success mantra here...because we are yet to be successful.
Honestly, I agree with you...but the underlying fact is some people get motivated for calling the senators and some for anonymous fax/email/flowers and some for rallies. There is definitely a subset who does all...but unless you are a Gandhi/MLK/JFK/Mandela....it's hard to drive people in one route.

we do all of the above and more. if you like something more than the other that's perfectly fine and dandy. but if we can't collect a critical mass for an action, we lose effectiveness and shoot ourselves in the foot.
in a group this large you simply have to help the commom action and agenda for success. each opinion is important but at the end of the day the common action must be done by all, as far as possible.
