Thanks for the information. I believe I have to wait for another month to get any updates from the Sep visa bulletin or wait till same time next year since my PD is Mar-06.

Are you telling me they haven't processed any EB3-ROW 485 during all those months? Why does it go all the way back to Aug-02???

Well, First let me tell you that nothing in USCIS makes any sense.
Cominig to the reasoning behind it, it could be that they did not have enough 'approvable' cases with PDs before Aug'02 to exhaust the annual quota(stuck in name check FP check etc), so they moved the dates forward. They approved some cases that felll within the new dates.
Now after approving some newly current cases, only a few visas are left with them. Also, by this time, some of the older cases, which were stuck earlier got out of whatever check they were stuck in...
As a result, now they don't have enough visas available to approve any cases after the PD of Aug'02.
Anything is possible here dear !

The biggest problem is interfiling from EB3 to EB2. USCIS must not allow anyone to change categories and retain old priority dates. This is nothing short of cheating ! What about the people who have been standing in line. You can't just change the rules when they suit you and get into the middle of the line. Pathetic !
Similarly - LC SUB guys are getting into the middle of the line even though they came to US years after many of us who are already in pipe-line. This is even more pathetic.

YES! They did broke law by provisioning visa numbers for applications that had not cleared FBI check. Their book clearly says the visa number needs to be alloted only after the application is 100% ready for adjudication.
Are we 100% SURE that this happened???

As far as I know, most likely your RFE would be related to EVL, if you didn't receive it earlier. Also, if you changed state, and working on H1 or EAD, they are sending in a standard RFE like to describe location discrepancy and letter from Employer to state that they still support your GC as per the Labor and 140 application. I know many of my friends who were not paid in bench. All of them received green card without any problem. But only difference is they were in unpaid bench anywhere between 2 to 6 months. I do not know anyone who was in unpaid bench for 1 year or more. Most INS officiers are sympathic towards many violations. Recently one of my friend's wife forgot to renew H4 and she was Visa overstay for about 8 months. She applied change of status explainig the situation her H4 was extended with validity date from original expiry date.
I wasn't goofin off, by choice. I had no option but wait and pray that my employer would find a job for me. I had every reason to bother at his stage, because I invested so much time and money to file my GC. Natually, I am bothered because you never know what USCIS would ask; they are always ready to pull the carpet underneath you. What if IO ask me to prove that I am not out of status ? would I be able to show the proof? No! I can't...

Guys, this looks good. It is NOT for illegal aliens. Paragraphs (c) and (d) state that the alien must be admissible as an immigrant (i.e. not have broken the law by being an illegal), read paragraph (d) here:
"(d) Security and Law Enforcement Clearances- The alien, if over 15 years of age, shall submit fingerprints in accordance with procedures established by the Secretary of Homeland Security. Which is true but if you dig further Mccain is spending 1bout 50Mil on negative ads where as Obama is spending 80Mil. Though he is correct in his percentages statement,is he really correct?

She'll be taking care of the mortgage sector and finance on wall street. All those companies the govt bailed out? Yes, she'll be taking responsibility for all those. On top of that, McCain has been acting erratic and weird. He's suspended his own campaign, gotten his crowd so rowdy that he got himself booed by his supporters, refused to look at Obama in a debate... is that how a maverick works? Is that how a tried and tested veteran behaves?
And then he's done the Bush thing again. Flat out lied to everyone to benefit himself. See David Letterman's case, where he stood the poor host up.
Folks, look at the BIGGER picture, and not your own selfish needs. There is no point getting a GC to a land that was not the one you had in mind.

As per our religion Parents are always Gods. And there is story of Lord Ganesha about when he was asked that who is your God? He said my parents.
This is where the problem starts chantu. For us in India, anything and everything is god. Indian movie actress's are our gods. We build temple to them. Amitabh is a god, Manisha is a god. These people take the gods avtars in our movies. But we all know how those people are. Most of them in that industry commit adultry.
Our Hindu party BJP uses these movie celebraties during election. We easily portray gods using those filthy people. So this is where problem starts. We have to clean our own backyard first.
