Just out of curiosity, why "shred" photocopies, except maybe for better document management and not drowning in paper?
Is there some ramification towards citizenship?
Better documentation is the reason why I got rid of those photocopies (I had crate-loads of them piled up over time). I guess you can just throw this junk in your recycle bin too. But because these are immigration-related papers, and all sorts of shady ID thieves are snooping around these days, I permitted myself a little paranoia and shoved them down my office shredder.
Insane list ...I lost 50% of my head hair staying in US since last 10 yrs and now loose the rest doing the book keeping...no wonder stone age was fun ;-)

you are asking for EB2 guys in 2004,2005,2006,2007 to wait for EB-3 guys in 2001,2002,2003,2004. Point is well taken. Its a humane way of handling things.
Perhaps they should not make EB1 current, let them wait a year or two while 2004 EB2 and 2001 EB3 get their green cards.
Ask this question to yourself. If you were an EB2 person with 2004 priority with a spouse and kid, Would you be willing to wait few more years to get your green cards so that a 2001 EB-3 shall get his faster and may not care /appreciate your sacrifice?

Here is my suggestion and some of the IV representatives need to analyse what Iam gonna say and see if they can stand up. Q.1) I understand you can't file 485 for your spouse if PD is not current but does the PD need to be current to add your spouse as a dependent on your 485 application w/o filing 485 for her?

I have been a IV member since 2006 . I have seen the ups/downs . .
A sad truth that we all want to do hero worship. We all want someone to do something for us while we can watch and comment on it. But this is a good thing because even though we are not doing anything at least we are saying something. I wonder why Indians are doing so much complaining.
Where are China and ROW people? Are they not in pain? I have not seen them on the forums.

If IV can outline how it is going to help, that would really make many people come out of the shelves. However, though we talk so much, people are still scared to identify themselves against the employer. Not so fast...the bill language clearly indicates that the provisions of this bill will take effect from the first fiscal day of the new fiscal year after this bill becomes an act...so unless this bill is voted by the house and senate and then signed by the President before September 30th, we will not be seeing any benefit until the fiscal year starting October 1st, 2009. After the September session, Congress will convene again in November/December timeframe for a short session. If the bill does not get passed then, then come next January, it will be starting the process all over again as it will be a new year for the Congress. Just like green cards, Congress does not carry over bills from one year to the next.

That is correct, 9 months and then I will return to my country for good.
I am waiting for the day when we get the GC , we will tear it into pieces and throw in front of consulate.

I believe once you use your AP for travel , you automatically comes EAD. If you are working for same employer with H1, then employer may have to inform uscis above status change (no big deal . i don't know if all employers are doing that) i don't think you can transfer your H1 after travelling on your AP. If you want to be in H1 status again all you have to do is leave country , get H1 stamped if expired and come back again. You will be in H1 status.

But from what I understand, a lot of people still don't know about IV and we must make more attempts to spread the word. Many people just don't know or understand the concept of IV. Actually I know someone who got it even faster.
This Pakistani guy came to the US in 2004 fresh off boat to do Masters. Completed Masters by mid 2005, immediately landed job at MS, they started his GC immediately in EB2 ROW and by end of 2005 he had GC in hand. It was ridiculous.
This is truly unfair where country of birth determined who gets an 'Employment' based greencard before someone else. It can only be fixed by eliminating per-country limits.
