Oh my, you really missed the point with this one. Maybe you are right and I'm exaggerating, but if someone flat out starts being rude to someone because they see them with something, then I'm struggling to think of a reason. By no means am I placing extraordinary value on it, what have I been repeating through every page of this thread? Its just a damn phone. I ordered the Hardened Edition for the 360 @ Best Buy for local store pickup.
I have quite a few reward zone points & a gift card or two, so it was a no brainer.
Turns out it was the only way to pre order special editions @ Best Buy, otherwise if you pre order in store you can only pre order the regular edition. Gamestop capped their pre orders for hardened editions, so it was the only way for me to 'guarantee' a copy of the hardened edition. Seems the hardened edition maybe the popular one.
Looking forward to playing CoD again, as I stopped shortly after the overly expensive map packs started getting released.

I'll still address the point you make about the size of the Scandinavian market. The total population of the Scandinavian countries are 18.9 million. The total population of the USA is 296 million. The size of the Scandinavian market is only 6.4% of the size of the US market, but if Apple pulls out it's still lost income, potentially up to a couple of percent of what Apple makes in the US if you count loss of sales of music and the domino effect that will cause loss of sales of iPods and Macs.
Of course Apple can survive without the Scandinavian market, but why give up potential profit for nothing except stubbornness?

You have the free will to work them overtime, they have the free will to accept that overtime, and then you pay them for it. Don't like it, don't do it...free will, baby.

I'm hoping by 2020 there's something out better than a trackpad, though.... I don't like them for long term usage (not comfortable, IMO). I'm thinking if Microsoft can do body tracking for XBox, it should be possible to do hand tracking for computers (e.g. put it on the webcam on a notebook. You could then do gestures and such in mid-air (e.g. touchscreen without getting fingerprints all over the screen. You could have templates for joysticks simulations, gun simulations, etc. Imagine just making a 'trigger' finger and playing a shooter game with no stick required.) I'd be thrilled if they could get voice interfaces and speech recognition/comprehension to work accurately so you could just talk to the computer for many things (ala Star Trek). Many things could be vastly improved over time.

We got apps and an App Store, and touch screens, and video, and syncing with Mobile Me across all your devices, and the ability to flip video from device to device, and switchover to SSD instead of hard disks, and books, and a port that allows add-on devices such as credit card readers, etc. etc.
When society has a need (touch technology that could be improved), people find ways to improve it. I suspect you will love the touch pads of a decade from now (and probably the mouse technology too!).

I for one will be staying with AT&T if and when Verizon gets the iPhone. I'll also be laughing while Verizon suffers the same fate that AT&T did as millions of users hit their network at once. I don't care how "strong" Verizon's network is, I don't think they're ready for the heavy hit they're going to take.
The situation is completely different for VZW than it was for ATT.
Firstly AT&T was the only network provider for the iPhone, this won't be the case for VZW. Secondly AT&T was at the very initial stages of 3G deployment with only a single channel deployed on 1900mhz compared to VZW using their entire spectrum for one network set. AT&T at the time was only using (and still is for the most part) a fraction of their spectrum for 3G.
Though this is Apple's first time messing with a CDMA radio, I wonder how bad they will screw it up? lol.

How much discretion should a TSA screener be given as to who should be given a secondary screening should something go "Bing". Six years and under, get a bye. How about seven years old? Is eight too young? How about VIPs and corporate CEOs? Should Randy Quaid get screened but not Charlie Sheen, because the screener has the discretion and a fondness for 2 1/2 men?

Really a great update for a great product. And now even Mac Mini Solo has a supported configuration. I can't believe Apple has improved so many things for no update price. I also can't believe so many negative ratings. Those waiting for new MBPs, check out next MS event or E3 or Oscars...you never know :D .

The left display in the pic below is one I bought 2 years ago, it was replaced 2 times (this is the 3rd display). The display on the right is brandnew, I bought it on wednesday from the online apple store.
The colors in the picture are exagerated because of the photo itself. The background of the screens is black and the backlight leakage is white irl.
The effect is also not as obvious as in the picture but however, it is there, very visible.
If you look at the highres - http://users.skynet.be/bk318948/macosx.nl/schermen.jpg - then you can clearly see there is ghosting on the right screen.
I've requested for a replacement for the new one. The old one (left) was bought at a dealer. It's still in warranty (applecare) but i'm in some kind of dispute with that dealer, so i'm hoping to take care of it directly through Apple.
On a sidenote, I payed almost 2400 euro (vat incl.) for the left one 2 years agon, the right one, which I bought this week, cost me 1150 euro. Should be enough to be eligible for 2 perfect displays no?

It was a good message until they stated "Before you pick a phone, pick a network." That would be valid in an iPhone-less world. They would still be selling us phones based on a spinning CGI rendering of a phone's outer shell. "Look! A plastic candy bar! You like candy, don't you? Then you'll love our rectangular phone! Brand new features like rounded edges and three colors!"

Perhaps a "Relevant" button then.
I guess leaving it as a +1 button is pretty much the same thing without using a word.

I just think it may be more troublesome than helpful to have a -1 button. If someone disagrees with a post, they usually respond with an argument. If they agree, unless they have something to add, hitting the +1 button would work, and it would clear up the "Agreed" and "+1" posts.
Well, some places limit the ability to downvote for higher level accounts. Like those who have been around or gained a certain amount of reputation. While others have no downvote ability at all.
