I use a Western Digital MyBook HD (USB) to record audio from Pro Tools and it works perfectly fine. I could suggest a firewire 800 HD though to free up those USB ports (or get a USB hub).

Earlier today, http://macnn.com was not working. http://www.macnn.com was working though. They said it had to do something with a hard drive crash (I think).

Why did you not purchase Logic? It is owned by Apple and optimized for the G5 Processor! Does Digital Performer do things that Logic doesn't? I am not familiar with either program, but at a glance they look like similar applications. I think Logic would have been a better choice. Now with it being at version 6 I would think it would be a no brainer. However, I have no real authority on Audio apps.

There's a very interesting write-up about the history of the Apple key here (http://www.roughlydrafted.com/2007/08/11/how-apple-keyboards-lost-a-logo-and-windows-pcs-gained-one/) which explains pretty much everything :)

An interesting quote: The problems involve the Working Families and Disabled Person's Tax Credits system, which was replaced in April 2003 by an updated system called the Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credits system. The new system is dogged by problems and may be too complex ever to implement properly, the report says.
What are the chances this is implemented in Windows?

Not sure what's wrong then, especially if you tried to repair the disk through the disk utility and it was fine. That I/O error should have been corrected.
Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge than me will respond here because other than using disk utility via the OS X install dvd to repair the disk, the only other thing I can think of is to reformat the entire disk.

I mean, in this case, it doesn't matter, because your asking price is ridiculous. But for future knowledge...

Dear Brother,
YOU NEED MORE RAM! :D
You should be running at least 512 MB and preferably 1GB, but if you're not
running any heavy applications 512 will do.

imagemagick [id: imagemagick] (required by iretiner [id:com.dxs.iretiner])
and
animate [id: org.chronic-dev.animate] both contain /usr/bin/animate.
iretiner makes retna icons from itunesartwork for apps that don't come with them and animate animates the bootlogo.
What can be done? is there anyway i can have them both installed?
should i email saurik (creater of imagemagick)and devtem (creater of animate)? has anyone else come across this problem?

EDIT: Sold, thank you all for your interest.
Topic should make it obvious...
For sale:
-Dock (gently used)
-Dock Cable (gently used)
-Charger (gently used)
-Headphones (brand new)
Would prefer to sell these all to the same person, but if there's just one or two things you're interested in give it a shot.

Every few weeks, the wiki server appears to lose the permissions set up under settings for each particular wiki, for all users except admin. This translates into all private wikis being invisible to the users.
The following operation appears to fix it, but the problem then eventually re-appears.

That's strange. You seem to be abiding the dual channel rules. I suppose just try experimenting removing first the Kingston RAM and leaving the Apple/Samsung, and then switching the process and seeing how that turns out.

Just wondering as to why the iPhone 4 black to white conversion thread has been edited.? Not only has it been edited, all posts from iphonefixed have been removed including details, prices, and photos that they posted to help member in said thread who were looking at carrying out the conversion, myself included.
I have been in touch with iphonefixed.co.uk, they are located in Wales/UK, and seem more than friendly, and helpful, and I don't understand why the bomb edit?
There were two other companies listed in this thread too, which were unreliable, maybe a moderator over reacted, and deleted iphonefixed posts thinking this guy was unreliable too? The names are very simiar I agree, but iPhoneFixed.co.uk is genuine from everything we can tell, even member did background checks, and VAT number checks, and all was fine for this guy, but not the others.

Even if Mac OS X shows you have 120GB of free HDD capacity, the 120GB might be scattered around the HDD, and Boot Camp needs to create a continuous partition, which might not be possible if the data is scattered. You could try to defragment your HDD with iDefrag or reinstall Mac OS X completely, with re-creating the Macintosh HD partition.
Why do you need to repair the HDD via Disk Utility?

does that mean the windows partition is still active in some way?
The boot loader is still looking for it. There's an entry (IIRC in the nvram) that tells it which partition on which disk it is expected to use as the default startup disk. In your case it was still pointing at the Windows partition for some reason.
