I"m in Knoxville as well and preordered mine so I won't have to camp out. I also made sure to pick up any accessories before today so I wouldn't have to go anywhere near West Town and the Apple Store.
I know the FedEx guy that runs in my area said that he had 35 on his truck for just my area alone.

There's no reason to panic. They often never actually are at 100%. It should stay in the mid 90s for most of its useful life, so that's completely normal.

I'll be at pioneer place on friday.
Just trying to decide WHEN to go... I think I may go scope it out in the afternoon and see how many people are there. Not really sure when to go though.

Here is a fool proof way to decide "wait or buy now"...
If the computer you have is not doing what you need then buy a new computer.
If your current computer is serving your needs then don't buy a new computer.
Don't worry about what might be released later if the new computer fixes some problem, then fix the problem now. There are two issues here (1) buying something for nor reason is a waste of money (2) waiting can go on "forever" so don't fall into that trap. Buy what you need when you need it.
Thanks for the reply, it helped a lot!!

First off there was some kind of odd dhcp issue with airport extreme prior firmware 7.5.2 wich could introduce this problem. update the firmware if it is @ the latest. Second wich solved a similar problem for me is go to your keychain "Applications/Utilities/Keychain access" find the Airport networkpassword (the accesspoint where you have trouble with, there could be a few of them) and delete them. Now you have to join the accesspoint once more with the correct ssid+password and things should work again.
hope this helps.

hmm, when i try to open the image, they show up as an unrecognized format.
where would a n00b like myself learn how to create something like this? i have no problem installing F@H on a Mac, but it's gotta stay hidden and start at when the computer boots.

I dedicate 7CPUS at 100% all the time in 10.5.5 (none of that background malarkey) ;) - I keep one CPU for OS and stuff and only shut Seti off when I need more horsepower

Oh jeez. They're pulling a GameStop, forcing you to buy a 3 year service plan for $50.
FWIW, I got this bundle back in December, when they weren't pushing the crap service plan. I was able to return the games with no problems.

Flash is certainly an option, but it wasn't high on the list of what I wanted to consider on account of basically having to embed 20 tiny Flash files for basic audio that can be handled quite well by dedicated media players. (That, and Flash ads have gotten so infuriating recently that even I'm starting to recommend turning off embedded Flash.)
Just seems like an added step that shouldn't be necessary, but perhaps it's the smoothest way to handle this (and does allow me to skip pre-loading, I believe).
Other suggestions? Anybody?

If none of those options work for you, find a church or school that would take them. Many have access to low income families that could use a computer for simple word processing, email and web surfing.
Great idea!

Hey guys:
I've gone through two 13" mbas (1.86/4gb, ultimate) and both have had inversion or pixel walk screen issues. Any time i scroll through webpages pixels will shift very subtely - for instance in macrumors archive those fine lines that box in posts will blur when actively scrolling up/down.
I can't find any definitive posts on what causes this aside from voltage issues w/lcd. The folks at genius bar were not helpful.
This site: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php has some examples. Another thread on the issue https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2675037?threadID=2675037&tstart=43
Does anyone know if this is an issue with all the 13'' mbas? It's a small issue but really bothers me, especially since I scroll and read through tons of text and the flickering becomes pretty apparent.
Any advice on solutions or general thoughts on what the issue is exactly would be appreciated.
At this point I'm going to try a third 13'' ultimate and see if I get the same problem.
Same problem, 3 MBAs? Look elsewhere...impossible to get 3 bad ones in a row.

Is there a way of making the spacebar on a mac act like an enter key? It's anoying always having to press enter. Like on windows if you press space, it acts as an enter key. Anyway around this?
I don't understand. It's the same number of keypresses as long as you press the right one, isn't it?

Thanks for the advice. I will try that when I get home from work today. Do I issue that command from the terminal screen? Sorry to sound so clueless. I'm not familiar at all with the server version yet. I guess I need the OSX server for dummies book!
