I believe you can put your Airport Express into bridge mode. Then wire it to the Netgear router. You can then configure the Airport Express with the same SSID and security credentials as your Netgear router.

I'd take a single strand of yarn, use it to spell out a word, then photograph it.

I just bought a brand new pack of cd-r's, the exact same ones that i bought, used and worked perfectly last time, but this time whenever i try to burn a cd itunes says initializing and then skips right to Finalizing and then an error message pops up saying itunes could not communicate with the burner. i tried creating a burn folder on the desktop and it still did not work. i tried using multiple CDs out of the pack but still nothing. Also when i insert a CD the computer recognizes it. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!! this computer is brand new and should not be having these problems!

I'm not sure if this helps, but my MBP with an Intel SSD (G2) is pretty damn fast. I definitely get less than 15 sec boot ups. The only thing I don't get is that deep sleep feature that Apple put into the MBAs where the laptop can last for 30 days. I think that's more of a design/firmware feature Apple cooked up into the MBAs.
As for instant on, it's fast too. Maybe not as fast as the MBAs, but I get to my login screen in less than 8 seconds. Also shuts down in less than 5 seconds too. I think it all matters about the SSD. Apple doesn't offer the fast SSDs from Intel and OCZ with Sandforce controllers so if you get a MBP now with the SSD option you might not get speeds as those with Intel/ OCZ SSDs.

I thought I'd drop by once we got power again. I live in San Bruno, across Sneath Lane from where the fire was, about a quarter of a mile north.
I saw the explosion last night as I came home from work. As I got out of the car, I heard a loud whooshing sound for a couple of seconds (long enough for me to walk from the car door to the sidewalk) then saw the fireball behind and just over the top of a stand of eucalyptus trees. The Crestmoor tract is about 20 feet below Sneath Lane level, and the trees are maybe 30-40 feet high so considering the distance (about 1500 feet), the fireball was likely 100 feet.
This happened at about 6:10 - my wife phoned my cell phone a couple of minutes later and the records show that was at 6:12.
We are all ok - we didn't even get smoke damage. The winds were in the opposite direction. We just had power out all night.

I'm sure this has been asked before but I need current info on current products. What are some good Time Capsule alternatives?
I have a 27" iMac with a 2TB hard drive and currently have no external backup/storage solution. I think the Time Capsule is overpriced and I don't need its wireless base station functionality. I just want to be able to back everything up neatly and efficiently to a 2TB external drive that is compatible with Time Machine.
Anybody know a model # or brand name that I should go with that you've either heard good things about or had personal experience with?

It isn't enough just to convert to AIFF, the sampling rate and bit depth you choose for the conversion MUST match your Sequence settings in Final Cut. In almost all instances this will be AIFF at 48khz, 16 bit, but there is the chances you have Final Cut's Sequence set for 32khz, 12 bit.
You can change the settings for this in iTunes or just use QuickTime Pro or SoundTrack Pro to do the conversion.

thank you , but still the same result no matter how often i even show windows that ati catalyst thing or how often i let it run windows is totally refusing to see that there is a ati x1600 inside and still using a standard vga driver for a 16mb card
not even on a hackintosh i came across such problems neither on my gaming rig's which obviously run windows natively
or do i think to difficult
update :
YES i did think to difficult , after reinstalling OSX and then windows7 via bootcamp and not even try to install any downloaded drivers windows 7 updated the ati x1600 from alone after running windows update , now even windows 7 is using the native resolution :)
and windows 7 is actually really speedy compared to snow leopard , can't beat tiger which runs on another partition but still a huge improvent over windows vista which made me switch to linux back then
now i got a real all in one computer.. Mac OS 10.4/Mac OS 10.6/windows 7/LINUX (mint, debian ,fedora, red hat)all on separated partitions and all OSes work natively

I don't have those arrows. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those only appear if you have too many tabs to display in the same window.
My problem is when I try to open another group of tabs, any extra tabs close. I have 8 websites that I like to check constantly, so if I re-open/refresh those tabs, anything else closes.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Draft

Situation: I have a 2007 Macbook Pro. The Superdrive no longer will read cd's or dvd's.:( I just purchased a new iMac.:D Now I want to sell my MBP but I need to wipe it clean and reinstall the system software before I put it on Craigslist. How can I do that with a broken Superdrive?
I am thinking maybe I can connect it to my iMac via firewire and boot the MBP in target disk mode. But then what? How do I wipe it and reinstall mac osx?:apple:
Thanks in advance.;)

That store gets busy, and with the layout of the store, I can only assume that the line would form outside the store. Wonder how the security will be acting about that, if that happens...
i might be there... might go to Best Buy.

180 bucks for a pre-amplifier? I just want to use it for Skype... and I don't want to carry around a pre-amplifier AND a microphone. I'll probably have a look at bluetooth headsets, that seems to be the cheaper and more portable solution.

Canadian Mother's Day is in early-mid May. I think it's an eBay promotion.
EDIT: I think it coincides with the American Mother's Day.
